Saw + listened to Stockhausen Donnerstag aus Licht. Impressive performance at SBC London. Deeply relevant music and themes explored. Stockhausen remains a visionary in our profane times.

https://t.co/x41FY3T1t4 the Brighton bus company has introduced new buses in 2017 with very noisy engines ventilating - a noise one can hear 100 meters away. What were they thinking, if at all.
Yet - we have to find new ways of presenting this modernist music by Saunders and others. With a Beckett play, with dance, moving images, in a disused factory in North England. Any suggestions?
Rebecca Saunders at QEH, London with Ensemble Modern. Great concert. Saunders focusses in her music on the spectral and gestural qualities of sound. She just won the Siemens prize and lots of Dosh.
