When you check out books at my local library (pictured here) they indicate how much money you saved. I've saved almost $14,000 since their new computer system. (About 15 years?) Now I have extra money to spend at my local indie bookstore, right?
Happy World Read Aloud Day! I'm ready with my "show and tell" items: Park ranger hat, truck dress, NBA poster with How to Babysit a Grandpa, and the book I'll read, TURBO'S SPECIAL DELIVERY.
@kaitfeldmann I so, so treasured working with you. You're an insightful, open-hearted editor, not just for the author, but for the kid readers who need the books you create. Every bit of editing kept those kids front and center. Hugs, dear one. Looking forward to hear who snaps you up! :-)
I donated to BrainFoodBooks, King's English Bookshop's non-profit that's gifted 22,000 new books to kids with little access to books. For HOW TO LOVE A GRANDMA's launch I donated $5 per book sold. Thanks! @KnopfBFYR@randomhousekids@RHCBEducators@leewildish Great organization!
