@dlahoud@BethMooreLPM Sometimes believing in a good God comes hard. Our broken world and broken hearts are so filled with grief. My heart goes out to you and your dear friend who must bear this worst of all life’s griefs.
@BethMooreLPM I do the same! When the markings I’ve made over the years obscure the scriptures, it’s time for a new Bible. The first months using the new one are hard! I feel like I’ve lost my Bible best friend. It takes a while for the new Bible to become my friend. 🤓💙
Let’s celebrate the women in Bible history. From Eve to Ruth, Esther to Mary, the NEW NIV Kingdom Girls Bible brings the stories of these important women, & many others, to life and shows how their faith and strength can still inspire young girls today. https://t.co/RfExZY0Npp

@DPCassidyTKC This! This is why I’ve spent my whole professional career working on, editing, publishing Bibles. You put into clear words the truth I know but can barely speak. Thank you!
@BethMooreLPM Our pastor @peteryoshonis has been preaching the last two weeks (one more to go) on this verse in preparation for his Sabbatical, during which he promises to pray this blessing over us each day. Such a rich treasure of blessing in these few words!
@philipyancey Your book Where Is God When It Hurts? and Wolterstorff’s Lament were both instrumental in helping me navigate the sudden and traumatic death of my granddaughter. Those words and thoughts and truths helped me cling to rather than abandon my faith during that terrible time.
@chuckdegroat@revgregbrewer These insightful words—and many more—from Nouwen taught me much when I experienced pain and trauma from several sources, professional and personal. Now, years on, I still carry the pain but not so much the trauma of it.
@KathCantwell@BethMooreLPM “Pain redeemed impresses me much more than pain removed.” The truth in these 9 words stuns me and brings me to my knees in the face of the suffering—unrelieved—of those I love. Thanks, @philipyancey.
@peteryoshonis@timkellernyc@RichStearns Thanks for pastoring and teaching in a way that leads to quality responses. In my (very humble and not always popular) opinion, quantity is not and being ver has been the barometer of success for a church.
