Helldivers, with the help of the SEAF, you fought to the edges of the galaxy to liberate the planets inside the Void. We stand here today victorious, together, and stronger than ever before.
Attention, Helldivers!
Due to your heroic efforts, the Supply FRV has been unlocked for all who participated in our first Galactic Campaign.
For players who participated in any stage of the campaign, please allow time for the rollout to your inbox. If you did not participate, the vehicle will be available again at a later stage.
@zentreya Seeing you at a meet and greet was such a con highlight! I know it's a lot of work (and definitely a technical headache) but I really appreciate you doing it.
@Pilestedt@Be_Spiritified@helldivers2 This is the PERFECT way to try a closed beta test with your loyal Helldivers! Please consider it! I hope you guys have a great time at the game awards!
@sub_res You're drawing cute foxgirls, you're not harming other people. Do what you like to do! (I loved your art for years, didn't see your Twitter till now).
The new #Helldivers2 GATER (Ground All-Terrain Extraction Rig) is literally just an APC body welded to a fuel tanker and it's the most Helldivers thing ever.
Right, so, my observations on XBox helldivers:
1) They Fear Nothing
The Xbox guys actively seek out the highest difficulty, the most chaos, and the worst possible enemies.
I routinely find level 17 dudes running level 10 Super Helldive missions against Illuminates. They have only the basic early equipment, but they're somehow making it work at the literal highest difficulty. It's freaking insane.
2) Losses Are Acceptable
Most Helldivers are at least a little cautious about dying, because respawns are limited and you have to conserve spawns to get the mission done.
Xbox divers give negative fucks about respawn limits. Head straight toward the biggest, reddest spot on the map, and if you die, you die.
Xbox divers have what I suspect is a higher rate of mission failures, but this doesn't seem to faze them in the slightest. They just keep diving, man, and they stack enough Ws to make the Ls worth it.
3) Lack of Game Knowledge
They don't know where the weak points are on the bots, they don't know how to do the mission objectives, and they really don't know the finer points of the game mechanics, but this isn't stopping them at all.
I have never seen a factory strider go down faster than in an Xbox player lobby -- Xbox guys go straight after the biggest enemy with whatever they've got, and they just make it work somehow. It's like magic, frankly, and I think it's because they all carry the spirt of Master Chief in them. Just sheer luck and, if not superhuman skill, then enough confidence to fake it.
4) ODST Pride
These guys love the ODST warbond and most of them are wearing the armor and using the Halo assault rifle weapon.
It's not even close to a meta weapon or a meta loadout of any sort, but they just make it work. It's sheer aura and vibes, and somehow that's enough for them.
IN CONCLUSION --
The Xbox divers are awesome, and I'm absolutely thrilled to dive with them in this game.
Welcome to Hell, ODSTs.
Feet first.
@KrimziVT We are going to reprise it. So everyone will have a chance to get the content.
Some technical hurdles to jump through on how to reimburse players that have some of the content!
