« " Concernant mes objectifs personnels : j’ai récemment rejoint un nouveau club. J’ai passé deux saisons à Galway United, et désormais j’ai pris la direction du Sligo Rovers FC. J’ai eu des discussions approfondies avec l’entraîneur et avec la direction du club, et c’est ainsi que cette nouvelle étape de ma carrière s’est mise en place.

En ce qui concerne l’Équipe Nationale du Cameroun, je pense que le président de la Fédération, Samuel Eto’o, fait un excellent travail. Ce n’est jamais facile, pour quelqu’un dans sa position, de venir restructurer et réorganiser le fonctionnement d’une sélection nationale. Il y a toujours des défis sur le chemin, mais il a la personnalité et le caractère nécessaires pour y faire face. J’ai appris quelque chose d’important grâce à lui : le respect. Et s’il ne reçoit pas de respect, il ne le rendra pas facilement non plus.

Je pense qu’il essaie d’apporter des changements significatifs, tant dans le championnat que dans la sélection nationale. Sa présidence a déjà produit des effets : il a intégré de nouveaux visages, fait venir beaucoup de jeunes joueurs, et l’équipe avance clairement dans une nouvelle direction, plus positive.

Quant à moi, je sens que j’entre maintenant dans mon meilleur niveau, pleinement prêt à contribuer et à donner le maximum avec les Lions Indomptables. »
