Each year thousands of schools across the country take part in the September fundraiser for Jeans for Genes. This year more than ever we need your support.
Jeans for Genes provides much needed support for the 1 in 25 children affected by a genetic condition.
Your efforts really do make a difference. Thanks to the support we receive we can help fund nursing care and provide much needed equipment and support to those who need it most.
Our funding in action:
One example was the funding for a much-needed specialist bed for Louie (pictured)
Kerry (mum) said - “The bed was a much-needed item to give our little boy the comfort he needed but also keep him safe at night with all his equipment. PTEN affects Louie in multiple ways. He requires a ventilator at night to help him breathe; he has a feeding tube, severe autism, hypermobility, hypotonia and is wheelchair dependent. Louie is nonverbal and requires 24 hours a day care. He has ventriculomegaly which has affected his brain. Louie is also in palliative care."
Please ask your school or workplace to hold a Jeans for Genes Day this September and help us change lives.

HELP US CHANGE THE LIVES OF MORE CHILDREN LIKE ELLIOT
Elliot, ten, was born with the rare genetic disorder Chronic Granulomatous Disorder, which is inherited and affects the immune system. The disorder prevents the immune system fighting off certain infections.
Those with CGD carry a faulty immune system gene, which means that white blood cells, called phagocytes, don’t work properly. As a result, CGD-affected people tend to get frequent bacterial and fungal infections, and need to take daily medication to stay healthy.
Your donations have helped provide Elliot with a specialist nurse to help care for him and provide vital support to his parents. You can read more about Elliot here https://t.co/1W5b4fseqO
Sign up your school or workplace today to hold a Jeans for Genes Day and help more people like Elliot.
