@RatRicoTY@Lamar_noid It's a very odd to me how they've ran with that one badly worded comment from a dev into thinking the entire community is part of a satanic cult. It's like arguing with a relative about D&D lmfao.
@Lamar_noid@RatRicoTY What boggles my mind is the strange Templar fetishism. I was raised Baptist so maybe it's different in those circles but they were decently well known for enriching and empowering themselves politically using the name of Christ. Idk why I'm arguing with these people since-
@RossMor34517365@Dante45p I dont want to do that annoying thing where people dunk on the actions of dead men who lived with radically different values and expectations than us, but you absolutely can criticize some of the actions the Templars took without it being a broad condemnation on Christianity.
@infiniteusagi@Dante45p exist, but because of Jesus's compassion he still willingly helps the faithful and essentially perpetually sacrifices himself to give mankind in the setting a fighting chance.
@infiniteusagi@Dante45p That's a fair at look at things. I definitely cannot say whether or whether or not it's blasphemous but I dont think the Meta Christ lore is trying to come across as shocking "Look how bad Christianity is guys." They're put into extreme agony since they inherently shouldn't-
@BolgFist@ChampionsOTIce The bizarre culture war shit around the game is baffling. I'm 99% sure the "Devs said the demons were the good guys" claim is from one weird misattributed discord message saying that the Faithful factions were at times dubious, which, they blatantly are.
@BolgFist@ChampionsOTIce It's pretty fun, there's a weird, preset campaign they're coming out with soonish that involves the Heretic Naval Raiders and Trench Pilgrims that looks pretty sick.
