April is Autism ACCEPTANCE month. Embrace Neurodiversity EVERY DAY. We can start by changing the work opportunities for Autistic adults. Employees are out there if companies - big and small - would give them a chance. 9 in 10 are currently unemployed.
So sad to hear about the death of Disability Rights Activist Judy Heumann. Without her, there would be no 504, no IDEA, and no Americans with Disabilities Act. My son, many of my students, and all of us at one time in our lives will benefit from her work. Rest well, Judy. ๐
