I appreciate the sentiment here, but I'm not sure that the math is mathing. Let suppose (a wild overestimate) NIH paid 100% of the salary for 100,000 postdocs all making 56k. An increase to 70k totals $1.4B. Benefits aside, this overestimate is still only 2‐3% of the NIH budget.
We were saddened by the passing of Hon. Shelia Y. Oliver ('74). Ms. Oliver earned her place on Lincoln's “Firsts” list as the first African American female Democrat to become a Lt. Gov. in the US. The Lincoln family honors her memory & legacy.
As we commemorate Founders’ Day, we take a moment to honor the rich legacy of Lincoln, spanning almost 170 years. Consider supporting current and future Lincoln Lions today: https://t.co/2M8xm4wkSO

Today, we remember Dr. King and the sacrifices made during his life. Without the strength and passion exhibited by him, and fellow civil rights leaders, we would not be where we are today. Reflect on the journey traveled and look to the future for there is much work to do!
On this day, The National Black Postdoctoral Association honors the legacy of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr, his inspiring spirit of service, and the ultimate sacrifice he made while fighting for the civil rights Black people enjoy in this country.
Thank you Dr. King 🖤🕊️
