@RanhothChord Thank you for sending this my way! As soon as I'm well enough to stream, this is going to be a great one to get started back up with! <3
@Rangutang I can only dream of having that level of productivity. How did it work for things like your more scripted video on Obra Dinn? The editor I use for my lectures (Camtasia) ate up 200GB of space for my recent short just to add clips to the library!
Friends who create/edit YT videos: What do you use? I've heard Premier Pro from some but it's got a cost, so is it really worth it? (I'll try it if it is!) I tried DaVinci Resolve (Free) but it's WAY complicated. Is it worth learning? What else do y'all use?
How frustrating - a correlations design with multiple paragraphs dedicated to causal conclusions (and a single line buried at the end stating that causal conclusions may not be warranted because the study is cross sectional).

Undergraduates, especially women, who embrace "raunch culture" show higher depressive symptoms, linked to increased social media use and social comparisons. This cycle may worsen their mental health, highlighting the need for awareness of raunch… https://t.co/AFjgBfaU3y
@Rangutang Are you okay with me using the information from your YT comments (on how to define game types) - with attribution of course - as the basis for a video? I think it makes a perfect example of types of definitions.
Decided to make my first "produced" short (that isn't just a clip from a stream). Dang that took longer than expected (and I need to ditch Camtasia for something better!)

Streaming for the second time in one day! Going to check out the new Cult of the Lamb update and see if I can talk about some psychology while doing it. Come join me! https://t.co/ewhLrymyk0
So, I was a dolt & did not tweet before streaming today, but I wanted to share the YT video that came from that stream (another will release tomorrow so I can share it with my students before their exam). If I'm really good, 2 shorts will be close behind! https://t.co/o6R8uAT5LD
@toddkashdan And we can chat privately if you'd like, but I'm also less worried about our positions as the process. Ironically - it's the how, not the what, that we both wanted to focus on with biases showing through anyway.
@toddkashdan I think we agree on the central piece of not generating beliefs just because others do, I'm just forever troubled by even "well reasoned" beliefs taking only partial data into consideration instead of getting the complete picture.
@toddkashdan So if we are going to teach people *how* to think instead of what - part of that needs to be a consideration of *all* of the evidence at hand or all of the pieces of an argument. Good theories need to focus more broadly than a single, easily refuted argument.
@toddkashdan It was her erasure of trans men by mocking the idea of using the phrase "people who menstruate" that started the whole thing - a position she doubled down on rather than showing an understanding of why it was problematic.

Unicellular organisms may not only be able to remember, but also learn and solve problems. This opens up a whole new world of understanding of what it means to think and where thinking actually happens.
