@Alexdoodless But that wasn't really the problem. It wasn't simply Nani's financial stability, or Lilo's issues, it was that, on top of that, they got involved with dangerous aliens. Hard to justify leaving her with an animal that nearly drowned her.

With him now suspecting that Stitch (and, by extension, Lilo and Nani) were being targeted by dangerous aliens, it's all the more incentive to take Lilo somewhere safe.

@RiseFallNickBck Here's the thing: I kinda see both sides of the argument here. It's obvious from what we've seen that Nani IS the only person who understands Lilo and she'd probably be miserable with anyone else. But...their house just blew up. How can Nani possibly take care of her after this?
