Can you shed light on whether, when thetax burden is moved to commercial properties, will the Air BnBs of Florida be taxed as the true commercial operations they are, or does the Amendment continue the intellectual falsehood that they are residential uses?

This constitutional amendment is quickly becoming an orphan. The Governor has walked away. You can’t find legislators willing to defend it or even explain how it works. Sheriffs, local police and firefighters across Florida are raising concerns about its consequences. And the polling is clear: the more voters understand what’s actually in the amendment, the less they support it.

If it fails, I don’t see that as the end of the conversation. I see it as the beginning. Florida’s property tax system deserves thoughtful, transparent reform…something the next governor and Legislature can tackle through sound policy, honest debate, and a process that brings people together instead of dividing them.

Reform is needed. This amendment isn’t it.

City of Largo says all have to Register as a STR and get inspected etc. However city also admits they don't know how many are in City...600 to 800 they say, which is a large margin and is a tacit admission that not all register

Well considered article here. It isn't possible to live on $30K a year in Florida so that means the Florida Congress can only have part timers, yet the citizens deserve full timers. There is a concern about making politics a career but term limits fixes that
