Humans tell stories for the benefit of other humans, to help us make sense of our world and experience other lives vicariously. AI cannot replace our need for stories, no matter how good at storytelling it gets.

@mcswrites This isn’t even a debate. There’s correct and incorrect. It’s OC or OS. VO is a voice that is disembodied from a scene, like a narrator or dialogue from another scene, etc. OS and OC are when the character is part of the reality of that scene in that moment.

@mcswrites It’s not about being clean or consistent or trusting one’s gut; it’s about understanding the form. Voice Over is a voice that is disembodied from the scene (narrator, memory, etc). Off Screen / Off Camera is part of the reality of the scene, but outside the camera’s view.
