More than 600 people packed the historic Carver Theatre in Birmingham, standing room only for a community conversation with Mayor Randall L. Woodfin and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

I had a wonderful time seeing Vice President @KamalaHarris during her “107 Days” book tour stop at the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham. We had a great conversation about organizing, the work we’re doing with @Blueprintal , and how local Democratic parties can keep building community and power across our state.

What struck me most was her optimism, even in challenging times, she carries a belief that progress is possible when people stay engaged. It was good to laugh, reflect, and be reminded of why this work matters.

The energy and enthusiasm during both shows Friday night were electric. You could feel hope in that room and that’s something we all need a little more of right now. 💙
