Most of the the horror/fantasy/scifi pubs I've been submitting too have stories that are.. more out there than what I do. Not bad, just more artistic I guess. My prose sounds more like the novels I read. Any suggestions on publications that take more traditional sounding prose?

@jd_hathaway I have been. And they've certainly said no! Although I did get some helpful feedback from one. You should send some stuff in! When I was writing a lot in my 20's I only ever sent one story in.. but since I've been doing it so much more recently I feel more... writerly.

Got Covid over Christmas and am finally recovered!(mostly). I feel like I lost a month of my life. Haven't had the energy for much of anything, but finally feel like I can get back to writing.
