At National Defence Committee, I pressed the Liberal Government on a serious gap in Canadaβs defence planning.
Non-kinetic threats like coercive trade, foreign interference, and supply chain weaponization are strategic threats to Canadaβs sovereignty and national security.
Canada needs a real Defence Industrial Strategy that protects our economy, our supply chains, and our Armed Forces.
These threats are already here, and I am pressing the government to take them seriously before they become kinetic.

Would you let the government install surveillance capabilities on your private devices? Because that is exactly what Bill C-22 would allow. From Cowichan to Langford and everywhere in between β concern over this bill is real, it is widespread, and it crosses every political line. It has drawn near-universal criticism from privacy advocates, civil liberties groups, the legal community, and opposition parties β and for good reason. I share your concerns over privacy, censorship, and government overreach, and I will not stop fighting against it. I am hearing you, and I will be your voice in Ottawa.
What are your thoughts? Drop them below. π #BillC22 #VancouverIsland #CowichanMalahatLangford
I just left a meeting with local representatives of the Mill Closure Working Group β and the message was clear.
Liberal Minister Hajdu still hasn't delivered on the support promised to laid-off forestry workers. The federal government still hasn't negotiated on softwood lumber tariffs. These delays have real consequences for real families right here on Vancouver Island.
Enough waiting. These workers and this vital renewable resource industry deserve action β not empty promises.
I will continue fighting for them.
Congratulations to @KerryLynneFindl
β the next Premier of BC.
Iβve had the privilege of knowing Kerry-Lynne for years β her commitment to principle never wavers. She ran on exactly that: property rights, lower taxes, small government, free enterprise, and real accountability on crime. A message that hits home here on Vancouver Island.
To everyone who put their name forward in this race β thank you.
Now letβs get to work. Affordable. Safe. United.
Something worth talking about β and this video shows it clearly.
Over 400 tankers transited Vancouver Port in 2025 alone, according to Transport Canada. But here's what many people don't know: because the narrows are so tight, shallow, and dangerous, those tankers can only load to 80% capacity.
Yet BC's North Coast β with deeper, more open waters β remains under a tanker ban.
If safety is the concern, shouldn't the same standard apply consistently across all of our coastline? British Columbians deserve an honest conversation about how we manage our waters β one that's fair to every region and every community.
I'll keep asking these questions on your behalf. πβ
BREAKING: Canada officially in recession.
$1.4 trillion in debt. Billions to consultants. Industries taxed and regulated into the ground. Small businesses left to fend for themselves.
While Canadians struggled, the Liberals called the economy "resilient." They called it "strong." They told you everything was fine.
It wasn't. It never was. And today, the numbers prove it.
Canadian families knew the truth long before Ottawa admitted it.

π¨ The Liberals are hiding the details of Canada's financial working group with China β and Canadians deserve better. We're talking about a regime with a proven record of espionage, foreign interference, and decades of human rights abuses β from the oppression of Uyghurs to the crackdown in Hong Kong to the persecution of Tibetans. Who's at the table? What's been agreed to? What protections are in place? I'm demanding the answers the Liberals won't volunteer. Full letter in bio.
Glad to see Veterans Affairs Minister McKnight visit the Langford Veterans Food Bank β the incredible work they do for our community deserves attention. But I have to be honest: as the local MP and a veteran myself, my office requested to attend and was told we weren't welcome. No supports announced. No new commitments. The wellbeing of Canada's veterans should never be a partisan issue. I hope Minister McKnight will put politics aside and work with me to support the people who served this. Our veterans deserve better.

Imagine working your whole life to own a piece of land β only to have the federal government refuse to guarantee it's yours. That's exactly what happened yesterday. The Liberals voted against our motion to protect private property rights, turning their backs on every homeowner in BC. The Prime Minister is failing to lead, and our community is paying the price. Iβll keep fighting for you.

Honoured to attend the annual Sam Sharpe Breakfast with Angel. This vital gathering brings together parliamentarians, military leaders, first responders, and healthcare professionals to address veterans' mental health and wellness.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sam Sharpe was a Member of Parliament who commanded the 116th Battalion at Vimy Ridge, Hill 70, and Passchendaele. After suffering mental injuries from his service, he died by suicide in 1918. His story reminds us that not all wounds are visible.
We were deeply moved by retired Sergeant Laurie White's testimony about her journey back to full duty after losing her leg in the line of dutyβbecoming the first RCMP officer to return with a prosthetic leg. Her courage inspires us all.
Thank you to Wounded Warriors Canada and everyone working to ensure our veterans and first responders receive the mental health support they deserve. π¨π¦

Vancouver Island farmers are being squeezed β and they need relief now.
Every tank of diesel filled, every truck on the road, every piece of equipment running in the field costs more than it should β thanks to years of Liberal tax hikes at the pump. These are the families growing our food, sustaining our local economy, and keeping Vancouver Island fed.
Conservatives are calling for a federal tax cut on gas and diesel, and I'm proud to stand behind it. It's the real, tangible relief our Island farmers have been waiting for.
It's time to make farming viable again. π

This month in Halifax for the Maritime Security Conference β and for a Navy veteran like myself, it's always meaningful to be part of these conversations.
As a member of the Standing Committee on National Defence, I see up close how vital this work is to Vancouver Island. CFB Esquimalt is the heart of Canada's Pacific fleet. The defence industry across Vancouver Island powers that mission every day.
Our sailors deserve the right tools to do their jobs β real ships, real submarines, real innovation, and the political will to follow through. βοΈπ¨π¦
