This is the second instance I’ve come across today where the baseline human ability to put time and complexity into context is a problem. The first was how we don’t understand big numbers like 38 trillion in debt and how to fix it. In this case, earth is 4+ billion years old and biological processes are on the order of milliseconds (or seconds, depending) and the number of errors that don’t result in anything is beyond comprehension. The very few that make it and survive will over time result in more and more capabilities (or complexity).
@garolaf@BillSimmons Getting swept was bad, getting swept by another bad small market team is worse, getting swept at home in the rain while the one component of play you had going for you -pitching- fell apart is the worst.
I think it’s worth mentioning that a 5-0 deficit for the @RedSox is pretty much a death sentence for the chances of a comeback. Right @DraftKings ? @BillSimmons
