The 12 richest people in the world now have more wealth than 50% of the global population. TheOtherMac has a solution for that and it leverages the agentic AI that the tech billionaires are pitching as our salvation - but something makes us think this isn't what they had in mind. @TheEconomist Isn't your (terrible) AI narration supposed to get replaced human narration within a week or so? Listening to "America's startup boom offers hope for the future of work" & it's awful. I subscribe for the talented human readers & won't be renewing if this continues.
👀Hey @jeffmacarthur --- tell us how you REALLY feel about Mark Zuckerberg & his AI manifesto?!

@batcountry1980 Very much love Echo & The Bunnymen - my fav band in high school. They also have had a tremendous second act since reforming in the 90s - here's a great playlist I made of the best of their stuff since the original run (w/ some McCulloch solo stuff, too): https://t.co/PQnXvXGhs2

@Blackmoor_Film I mean, for one, it's not a film, it's a series. For two, I'm sure you've heard the expression about judging a book by its cover - I'd say this applies to trailers. I'm cautiously optimistic - I may be proven wrong, but there's certainly not enough to judge it on at this point.

I might know every single sound on this album. Spent many long hours sitting between two speakers listening intently. Very fun album (and I used to sing several of these songs to my kids when they were little: The Gnome, The Scarecrow, and Bike)!
So Blackstone is loaning billions to Anthropic so that Anthropic can rent chips from Google, which already invested billions in Anthropic so that Anthropic could rent chips from Google, meaning Google's billions weren't enough billions, so Anthropic is now borrowing billions from Blackstone.
Got it.
