April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we recognize the event during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week by wearing blue clothing. The Jefferson Children’s Advocacy Center plants pinwheels during the month each year to focus on child abuse and neglect.
Showing our solidarity with sexual assault survivors and in connection with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, we’re wearing denim in recognizing Denim Day 2026. The annual event originates in a 1999 Italian Supreme Court decision in which the judges blamed the victim.
