PM @MarkJCarney says he doesn't know if he owns shares in commercial or residential real estate. “I actually don’t know,” he said, after endorsing $1.45 billion bailout of distressed condos in @CityofVancouver.

🚨 TOTAL MELTDOWN 🚨
David Eby just HUMILIATED Mark Carney.
Carney wanted taxpayers to help prop up struggling condo projects.
Eby’s response?
NO.
“We will not help rich developers avoid losing profits. We will let the market correct.”
British Columbia just walked away from Carney’s housing plan.
When your own political allies won’t back you… that’s a crisis.
The cracks are getting impossible to ignore.
The podcast I created is now six years old.
In 2020, I had an idea to start a podcast. I was raised by a single mother with FASD, never met my father, and spent a lot of my life looking for role models, mentors, and voices I could learn from.
That was the beginning of The Bigger Than Me Podcast - a show focused on interviewing people who thought beyond themselves. With the support of my lovely wife Rebecca Pete, we started something unique.
Over time, I realized my passion was moving more and more toward ideas. Ideas shape people. Good ideas can build businesses, strengthen economies, lift people out of poverty, and improve the world around us. Bad ideas can fuel division, greed, inequality, economic decline, and real harm.
So in 2025, I renamed the show Nuanced with Aaron Pete. - a place to explore important ideas, ask difficult questions, and have serious conversations without losing our humanity.
It has now been nearly a year under the new name, and six years since I first started hosting this show. We have grown to nearly 13,000 subscribers on YouTube and now average around 5,000 views per episode. I have had the privilege of speaking with Premiers, Ministers, Members of Parliament, journalists, judges, lawyers, scientists, academics, and community leaders.
We cover some of the toughest issues facing Canada, but we try to do it with nuance, curiosity, and kindness. We assume good faith. We debate ideas without reducing people to insults. We try to make space for complexity in a time when so much of our public conversation rewards outrage and certainty.
We have come a long way since 2020, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported.

Where did all the Liberals go? Because I don’t see them.
What replaced classic liberalism is quite scary in my opinion. Marxism, identity politics, big government, big tech, big pharma, thought and word policing, censorship, degeneracy, wokeness, crony capitalism, authoritarianism.
Do people with classic liberal values understand that the party itself does not represent real liberal values and it hasn’t for a very long time? That there is no “liberal” party.
I think it’s great that politicians like Eric Lombardi are finally addressing this and I wish him well.
But I think this party is long gone. 10 years of this nonsense has absolutely destroyed our country in every way. From crime, poverty, national security to mental illness and everything in between. There hasn’t been one tangible win in any area of life in the last decade and there’s zero accountability.
Canada is poor, unsafe and falling apart. And instead of addressing the real issues they now spend all of their time censoring the internet so Canadians can’t have access to truthful information about their failures.
I do like what @EricDLombardi is saying however I don’t trust what’s become of this ideology. I don’t trust that they’d “let” him win. I also don’t trust that he’s not another Liberal who says one thing but does another.
I would like to trust him, I really would. I would love to not be afraid of this party. But at this point in life I have zero proof that the liberals are anything other than dangerous.
Hoekstra says it plainly. We were close to a deal in October. Now its in Trumps hands. Canada sabotaged the deal. Ford ran ads during the Superbowl, Carney made speeches in Davos, China is our strategic partner, and our media relentlessly attacks Trump. Now Canada awaits our fate. My gut says we're about to get a termination notification. Canada will caught completely off guard. We had better get our shit together very quickly. I hope I'm wrong. 🙏

“If you succeed you get rewarded, but if you fail, you fail, your institution fails
I’m saying no bailouts”
Mark Carney, 2011
15 years later, Carney wants to bailout home builders who failed
Money laundering has inflated property prices here in British Columbia for years.
David Eby only needs to read the Cullen report to see the practical steps we must take. Yet his government continues to ignore those recommendations while organized crime distorts our housing market and everyday families struggle to afford a home.
Now the NDP and their federal partners have announced yet another plan using taxpayer subsidies to buy up vacant condos from developers. This is not genuine help for affordability. It is government intervention designed to prevent prices from adjusting to market realities, propping up the very distortions that money laundering helped create.
We can restore opportunity, safety, and prosperity for every family in our beautiful province. The NDP’s approach of endless subsidies and economic interference has failed.
Together, we will get it done. Join us.
Harrison 'He said... the NDP and Conservatives are more grassroots."
"I would say that their people are motivated by a bit more principle as opposed to holding onto power"
"But I think that what becomes a problem for the Prime Minister is a pattern, David, of not really caring about Parliament and the trappings of political campaigns and how to run political parties."
"If (Carney) is going to... hand pick and select a number of his people in some of these races where there could be a contested nomination, I do think that that will start to grade a bit at the grassroots Liberal members who want to see their Prime Minister... at least play the game a little bit in terms of carrying what the party infrastructure is up to and what grassroots volunteers and members doing the heavy lifting door to door"

The Carney Condo Bailout Fucktastrophe! I Won't Leave This One Alone: It's Just Too WRONG
To quote the Prime Minister: "Builders dont want to sell at a loss"
Doesn't mean the Canadian Taxpayer needs to make sure Developers get full price for their Garbage Units at crazy prices
Cohodes "And Carney is basically putting the losses to the Canadian taxpayers of these condos which are built and can't sell. And he's bailing out the CCP backed developers, you know, the condo king Rennie and all his buddies."
"And it's sick and it's insane and it's amazing frankly that Carney and Gregor can go with a straight face and talk about this and just not describe it for exactly what it is."
"So it's, it's absolutely, let's start with it's insane!" @AlderLaneEggs@scoopercooper
Remember Carney secured a Bank of China bailout on Brookfield’s falling Shanghai real
estate portfolio in 2024. China’s condo bubble (shadow banking) popped and Vancouver’s offshore condo sale bubble popped alongside it. The ‘end buyer’ of these units in Burnaby and Richmond is who?
