.@DellTech has offered datacenter-focused Apex services for several years now, but today they're finally bringing Apex to the PC space with PC-as-a-Service. The trick will be convincing customers it's more than just fancy leasing. #DellTechWorld
Anyone seen datacenter scene in Slow Horses S2 Ep 1? No hot isles, inefficient spacing, no random crash carts, perfect cabling/accent lighting, & quiet enough to distract a guard by sliding a HDD across the floor. I enjoy the show, but they seriously need an IT advisor. Enhance!
This crash kart kvm generated quite a bit of buzz at Dell Tech World this past year. Had folks bringing friends to see it and had one guy order it on amazon right in front of the StarTech booth.
Did you know you can easily manage your server closet with a device about the size of a smartphone? StarTech. com's KVM Crash Cart Adapter allows IT Technicians to transform a laptop into a powerful server management workstation. Learn more: https://t.co/Ks4B3Wqxab
Awesome to see a totally stand up dude (Kyle Tucker) get a home run in the series this evening. A couple of years ago he let my kiddo fake interview him.
I switched from years of nexus/ #pixel phones to a samsung 22 ultra this year. my biggest worries: timely android updates, bloatware, etc. Just got the UI 5.0 update (Android 13) - 2.5 months behind the launch/when pixels get it. Not as bad as I thought, still not great.
Being squarely in the 15% of the workforce that is fully remote, I found today's Freakonomics podcast a super interesting listen:

Ain't no party like a dragon party! Getting geared up for the #hotd finale. Also the kids said I'm a nerd and I'm thinking about banishing them from my kingdom.
Fun thread on reddit today. A bazillion years ago in one of my first tech jobs a we had servers named animal + liquid... i.e. squirreljuice, catmustard, etc.

you know you work for a IT connectivity company when... you see the @SpaceX control center and your first thought is... I wanna meet their IT guy. Then @mlclmdnldsn points out the 2 peeps on the bottom left have at least 11 screens, 3 keyboards, 2 laptops.
It's the fall weather like this in Austin that happens when everyone visits (like ACL this weekend & next) that helped convince me (and a million other people) to move here. Food, fun, festivals... October in Austin is amaze.
even as 1 of the only green bubbles amongst my friends & family, I'm finding products announced in today's #madebygoogle underwhelming. My now dated Amazfit GTR3 Pro does pretty much everything the watch announced does (as well as the apple watch) & lasts >2 weeks w/o a charge.
I was recently asked what would happen if I used the same equipment I shot planets with to shoot our moon.
Well, this: A 562 megapixel image, featuring one of the most detailed looks at the craters of our moon I've ever done. Zoom in to your heart's content.
