Ben Appel’s WSJ piece “I’m Gay, but That Doesn’t Make Me ‘Queer’” is excellent and necessary.
@benappel bravely stating what so many of us feel. Our sexuality doesn’t require rejecting what’s normal and legitimate. It doesn’t force us to embrace “queer” ideology or become an identity insurgent. He nails it. Queer theory isn’t gay rights; it’s a misguided rejection of shared human values and reality itself.
It’s rare to see this perspective from a gay male in mainstream media. Well done, Ben.
I’m in The Wall Street Journal today.
I’m Gay, but That Doesn’t Make Me ‘Queer’
“My sexuality doesn’t obligate me to embrace a particular ideology or to reject the moral inheritance of the society that made my life possible.”

I’ve been following the role GLAAD has played in this transition, if you will. The orgs were captured after Obergefell. Marxist Queer Theorists hijacked the community apparatus and turned it into a pedophilic, perverse, political movement we gays and lesbians never agreed to be part of. They conflate us with them intentionally to lock in the youth and straight people needing some spice in life. The damage GLAAD has cause homosexuals, men especially, is atrocious.
Never eat Crunch ‘n Munch when juggling tasks, including feeding the dog. I reached for a handful and didn’t realize I was in the dog bowl instead of the box. Now I have kibble stuck in my teeth and I wanna puke.
@MadamSavvy@IfindRetards GLAAD’s Media Resource Guide was changed by Nick Adams, a heterosexual woman living as a “gay” man. Adams is behind a great deal of the hijacking that’s been going on for a decade now. The erasure of homosexuality lays firmly in Adams’ penis-free lap.
Gay marriage has been settled law in the US since 2015 and remains fully legal nationwide - no repeals, no bans. SCOTUS has already turned away recent challenges to overturn it.
What many conservatives (and a growing number of gay people) actually oppose is the activist overreach that turned ‘equal rights’ into mandatory affirmation of gender ideology, kids on blockers, males in female spaces, and Pride events celebrating everything from kink to ‘minor-attracted persons.’
Being gay isn’t a political subscription or a lifetime membership in the latest left-wing cause. Plenty of us just want equal rights under the law and to be left alone.
@veryultraviolet Or you didn’t see the actual interview where he, dressed as the man he was, admits it. The desperation you guys exude when hijacking homosexual history is quite telling. If you actually had role models and icons, you’d wouldn’t need to appropriate ours.
@wildklip Girl should be grateful. She dodged some bullets. Who wants to be around those people. She’s got the wrong mindset. Somebody rejected her in her life and she hasn’t healed that.
