The last big update had the Masons moving south. This one is staying south.
I'm grateful to share that I'm joining @UHCougars as an Associate Athletic Director with the Cougar Pride squad. I'm excited to join the team and get to work!

As much as I love conference tournament week, the opening weekend of @NCAABaseball Tournament is next level.
In my opinion, the best link to track times/broadcast info is from @paulsen_smw: https://t.co/YiDjs10Vlx
Can't wait. Good luck to everyone working at host sites!
With conference tournaments battling weather across the country, the Sun Belt is improvising to keep things moving along.
Huuuuge kudos to the folks at @TroyAthletics who will be making this happen on short notice.

My first full-time role with UCM was 50% marketing at our golf course amid a huge renovation.
I'm listening to UCM's postseason baseball broadcast and hear their commercial. The course's tagline remains what I introduced 10 years ago.
Very (unexpected) cool moment.

Stacking on coach's tweet with another Division II gem: Pitt State (much to my chagrin) has crushed this year.
Conference champs, hosting a regional, run-rule win in the first game... and they're the away team in game two.
I can't get behind the H/A switch.
Top seed: Home
The @NCAABaseball Home/Road designation criteria or rules are a complete joke. Simple fix. Before you get to the World Series, the higher seed is the HOME team, period. It was EARNED.
Grateful to @Lewis_USA for hosting the Coaches Caravan!
Come see @UHCougars / @UHCougarPride at one of our last three stops this month:
18th - Dallas
19th - Downtown Houston
21st - Austin

Several clubs saw 50% price reductions in their season-long MLBtv offers today despite being approximately 20% through the season.
Majority of the cuts I found were 10% reductions.
Surprising reduction for this time of year.

Personal tweet:
I **applaud** those of you who are crushing your time management as parents.
You make time for your child (or children), yourself, sleep, and work? You're crushing it. Well done.
I'm accepting tips. Because I keep crossing my fingers for more hours in a day. 😂
@NotWhoYouDream@Coogston There are so many offenses where he'd excel.
Chiefs' affinity for 5-10 yard quick routes would be perfect for him. Physical at the catch, incredible hands, and I think his turn-and-run will keep producing YAC.
Hadn't thought of CLE but now I see four picks in the 5th. 😂
My afternoon agenda: Watch every team logo pop up and think "They'd be a great fit for Koziol" while the homer in me prays he lands in Kansas City.
Going to be a great addition wherever he lands. #GoCoogs
XTwitter going wild with the Rams' pick at #13.
The broadcast? Ten minutes (and counting) behind as they go to commercial.
I think the move from 10 to 8 minutes per pick is a win. But the broadcast run of show will need to adjust next year.
Just like that, XTwitter jumped ahead of the broadcast by three moves.
Giants pick leaked
Browns trade to Chiefs
Chiefs pick leaked
All while the broadcast was in commercial.
Never fails.
Chad's post touches on part of my thought process: A *lot* of duties aren't prone to AI-replacement.
But there are plenty of spots I'd think teammates would happily run a script. For creatives, 'Happy Birthday' or 'Update' template posts come to mind.

Since I have helped set the smsports community ablaze tonight I will add this.
To the department heads who are dealing with exec staffs and ADs who are going to look at Chat 2.0 and start asking questions like how quickly can we downsize, it is your job to advocate for your departments and educate the powers at be on what this actually is, powerful tools that if used properly can help your departments become more efficient.
It is also your job to remind them that AI can’t go sit on a baseline or sideline and capture content or mic up a player. It can’t go to an OV and make a connection with a family or athlete, and cant cover an event. It also can’t understand what a coach means when they say something like “just add that thing you did four graphics ago that I told you I liked.” And I’d love to see how it interprets “it just doesn’t pop enough for me.”
The fact is creatives are just as important to their athletic departments today as they were yesterday and if you oversee a department, like I do, it is your responsibility to everyone who reports to you to make sure that message is heard and understood.
Unsolicited 10 p.m. thought: No role should view themselves as mutually exclusive from AI.
Fundraisers for wealth scoring
Ticketing for lead screening
Creatives for template work
Equipment for inventory/orders
Personally, automation of template work is my first thought for AI.
@LucasCommodore@NLBMuseumKC It might have been poor wording on my part. More than anything, I'm hoping that the new baseball complex has some 'tip of the cap' to NLBM. Doesn't need to be thousands of square feet -- Just some kind of conclusion. Feels right (to me) if the complex is the baseball hub of KC.
With the announcement of an incredible 85 acre footprint, I'll be crossing my fingers for a future announcement of @NLBMuseumKC's presence in this new space.
Huge step forward for Kansas City professional sports and I'm hopeful NLBM is part of it. #Royals
We are proud to share our plans for the future of Royals baseball in downtown Kansas City and to begin a partnership that will last for generations to come.

Board documents always interest me in these projects.
One note: Nebraska citing peer projects including an undisclosed Big Ten program estimating a new build at $1.5 billion.
Huskers' project will use donations + bonds.
