Statement on the Disaffiliation of LPNH
“The resolution to disaffiliate the Libertarian party of New Hampshire was the unfortunate culmination of years of behavior in violation of the Libertarian Party’s platform,” said new LNC Chair Evan McMahon. “These violations reached an impasse, and the previous Libertarian National Committee was unable to reach an armistice with the LPNH. One of my top priorities coming into office was to make it clear that the LNC will adhere to the platform and determine who we will associate with based on those grounds.”
Language from the Motion to Disaffiliate LPNH
The bylaws are clear that affiliate Parties shall not endorse the candidate of another Party. Despite this, the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire openly and publicly endorsed President Trump during the election in 2024.
Furthermore, they have crudely and repeatedly undermined our own candidates and have espoused numerous anti-libertarian positions on a National level.
Be it Resolved that because of these reasons and more, the Libertarian National Committee moves to disaffiliate the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, mandating that they cease and desist the use of the Party name and logo, until such a time as the LNC recognizes a new affiliate in New Hampshire that shares our Party’s foundational values.
@FTL_Bonnie Lots of people first heard about libertarian ideas and the FSP from the LP. And, it helped to free Ross.
So, most delegates realize its value, and don’t want Jeremy to ruin it like he’s ruined every org he touches.
The United States regulates sunscreen filters as drugs. Result: no major new sunscreen filter approvals since 1999.
Europe regulates them differently. Result: sunscreens that feel better, last longer in the sun, and provide stronger UVA protection.
The FDA, recognizing that the normal process failed for sunscreens, is now moving to approve a filter used abroad for years through a nonstandard pathway.
What safer or better drugs in other categories are unavailable in the US simply because the approval process makes them economically impossible to bring to market?
Why not make drugs available after they pass Phase 1 safety trials?
@EricBrakey, as you know, when I moved to NH, I created a camp at PorcFest, where people experienced liberties that were new to them and prospective movers saw that FSP was welcoming to all kinds of libertarians. It was especially popular with gay libertarians.
While most people were very supportive, there were some who lied, made threats, and complained. Eventually, FSPorg relented and essentially stopped me from building my tribe and sharing my vision.
It hurt when FSPorg hamstrung my efforts to build a free society, because the conservatives were offended. I felt that I was trying to fulfill my pledge, and FSPorg was not fulfilling theirs.
I also built other communities, e.g., via Welcome Wagon, hosting events, starting groups for science and housing, investing in the Inn, and moving my business to NH.
It's wrong to say that I only fight and don't build. But I do think it's clear that the biggest threat to the goals of the FSP is the auth right takeover of the LPNH.
@EricBrakey@LPNational@LPNH Thank you, Eric!
One of the differences between me and the LPNH leaders is that I like you for your values and the vision you share in your streams 🙂
> I also don't take it so seriously
What would it take for you to take it seriously?
Would it matter to you if LPNH is cited as the #1 reason libertarians don't move to NH?
Would they have to regularly post serious posts against NAP and in favor of aggression and imperialism?
Or would it only matter to you if they threatened you, your loved ones, and your liberties?
1/ How long do you want to live?
For most of human history, aging was inevitable.
It's now solvable.

Sorry, I don’t understand how LPNH recruiting authoritarians helps grow the broader movement.
Do you think the views shown above - like calling for the forced deportation of people celebrating the end of chattel slavery - make up a legitimate form of libertarianism?
Or, is it that you think edge-lording via posting Nazi memes is surprisingly effective at recruiting libertarians over white nationalists, even though there are far fewer libertarians than white nationalists?
It seems to me you have to ignore a lot of the basic facts to entertain the idea that the auth right takeover has been good for the NH liberty movement.
FSP and PorcFest used to be a place where libertarians with diverse interest co-existed and thrived. That’s the beauty of NAP.
What do you think happened? What role did FSPorg play to affect those changes?
@LauraMiers@JasonBassler1@cdtwriter Uber also uses your location info in startling ways. When you land at an airport, it sometimes says something like, “Welcome to XYZ! Want an Uber?”
But, at least you can take away their location permission or delete the apps. Can’t do that with the government’s Flock cameras!
@Weir4Liberty Someone responded to your post saying "should be easy to kill that last 5% [of Muslims]."
The fact that you were surprised raises serious concerns about your ability to understand the effects of your behavior on peaceful people.
@Weir4Liberty We're literally on yet another thread of you being a demagogue to get followers.
Spreading hate and intolerance does not lead to liberty. You either don't care or are too far up JK's ass to see that.
