@Google@GeminiApp @NotebookLM Ah this is pretty cool! I’ve been thinking about the same concept of projects/folders the other week where my stuff can be organized, and there it is.
@tonyszko@josesaezmerino The thing is, speaking for myself here, not only about the ‘screen mirroring’ solely, but what’s happening having this feature enabled is that iPhone’s notifications will be mirrored to the Mac, which is very convenient.
I had never watched any Harry Potter movies nor read any of the books, and never cared about any spoilers as I wouldn’t remember them anyway, but in the past month I finished reading the first 3 books of Harry Potter, and now I stumbled across the first piece of spoiler 🫠
The only difference buying e-books from, let’s say, Kobo or Play Books would make more sense is that you’re most likely gonna get a DRM-protected file which you’d either read on a device of choice, or if legally available in your country, strip away the DRM and “own” the book.
One fact that you should know is that buying the Kindle version of a book doesn’t mean you’re “owning” the product in the same sense as a physical book so that it can theoretically be accessed forever. You’re actually just buying a ‘license’ to get access to read the book.
If, at anytime, the publisher’s contract is terminated with Amazon, you’re gonna lose that book because you no longer ‘have the license’ to access the book.
This isn’t just about Amazon, but basically most of e-book sellers, e.g. Kobo, Google Play Book, and Apple Books.
