@greta They do this in the Philippines. I have mixed feelings about it because when they are doing a bad job you are stuck with them for 6 years whereas with two 4 year terms you can vote them out if they are doing bad and keep them for 8 years total if they are doing good.

@BradleyHintze All you have to do is listen to all the lies they spread and the language they use. I agree that politics should be about the issues not the parties or the people. But you can't sit back while one party behaves a certain way and only call out the other party.

@BradleyHintze Every shutdown is technically bipartisan. The frustrating thing that causes the divide though is for example when Obama was president everything was blamed on the republicans. They were branded the party of no and obstructionists.
