To repeat, this is a great honor and a challenge. Thank you Rep. Luna. .... As of today I will be taking a leave of absence from JFK Facts to focus on helping the Committee inform the public about what we have learned and what we can learn about a pivotal moment in American history whose influence is felt today in issues of war and peace.

Today, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jefferson Morley as an adviser to the Task Force on Declassification of Federal Secrets as it prepares its report on the status of records related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy following President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 14176.
Mr. Morley is a veteran Washington journalist and vice president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, which sponsors the largest online archive of JFK assassination records. He is the author of three books on the CIA and is widely regarded as one of the leading authorities on the events surrounding November 1963.
The Task Force is pleased to welcome Mr. Morley to the team, and looks forward to his assistance in publishing a comprehensive report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in the near future.
His appointment will support the Task Force’s ongoing work to advance greater transparency regarding one of the most consequential unresolved chapters in American history.
@jeffersonmorley
The Committee’s can obtain the letter and put it in the record .. send relevant data points and contacts to [email protected] and I will pursue…. We are also seeking Bradford’s 11/22/63 testimony and his FBI files… all suggestions for JFK material that is 1) known to exist and 2) is not in the public record will be pursued. Note that only suggestions that meet both conditions 1) and 2) can be pursued.
Is the tatoo symbolic of his politics? No.
I don't know what podcast he appeared on but I do know if you state facts like "The IDF as killed 10,000 children in Gaza" people will say you're "trafficking in anti-semitism." This kind of hasbara is why more American sympathize with Palestinians than with Israelis.
Besides what did he say about the issues of the day on the podcast? Isn't that what matters?
And yes I would be magnanimous. I work closely with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna on JFK issues and she says LOTS of things I disagree with. I don't think she's unfit for office saying things I disagree with.
The good thing is all this irrelevant shaming is likely to increase support for Platner just like the Monica story boosted Clinton's popularity.
As for the NYT gossip mongers, I agree with John Judis here.

I love posting videos of normal Iranians just chilling out and living life in Iran because it really seems to trigger the diaspora Pahlavists. You will never, ever, ever be as cool as these people.
@dnews2022@timgproject I never spoke to my grandfather about JFK‘s assassination… And I don’t know that he ever wrote about it… I didn’t know any of his neighbors
People on the bus…. As well as Dan Hardway and Ed Lopez of the HSCA… also CIA station chief Win Scott…Also my friend Oliver Stone….Also the great Mary Ferrell….Also the late Robert K Tannenbaum …also the irreplaceable Sylvia Meagher… you may disagree ( and that’s fine) but I do have reasons to say what I say and you should know them …. Thanks.
Ask away Bill. I visited Gibson Island a few times as a kid in 1966 but I never met anyone else who lived there. I did met some CIA types (some shady, some not) while reporting on Iran Contra but that was in 1986 and it wasn’t at Gibson Island . I met Smith Bagley once or twice but that’s the only Bagley I know.
Anyone other questions? Plz drop me an email at [email protected]
Best
Hi Geoffrey. I believe that Oswald was in Mexico City because Dan Hardway and Ed Lopez of the HSCA (who studied the issue for months with top-secret clearances) concluded that Oswald was in Mexico City… In Our Man in Mexico I cited evidence that Oswald was impersonated while he was in Mexico City… I gather you disagree with some of this. But that difference of opinion does not disqualify me from advising theTask Force IMO.
@OHAI_INVR@davetroy Yes …..My grandfather was a libertarian… he won a Pulitzer Prize in 1936 editorializing against the Social Security Act… When it came time to getting his Social Security check, my father teased him about whether he would cash it…. there’s no secret her, no conspiracy.
