Church is not a scam, just like education is not a scam.
Being on the wrong side of it can be a scam, but generalising Church as a scam is a very insensitive claim you should be making.

It's always Church you people speak ill of, like Christianity is the only religion in Nigeria.
Non of you would boldly come and make such claim against Islam, even when you're aware of what the religion has produced in the North and around the world.

When you start attacking Churches and feels good with it, you should check your soul. Because it's easy to get carried away by achievement and begin to call Church a scam.

The same Church system is what has lifted some people up.

The fact that there are some malpractices and misrepresentation by some individuals doesn't make the entire church a scam.

Every system has some default in them, that doesn't invalidate the entire system.

It's wisdom to learn how to tread softly because life is a mystery.
