Content Partnerships @ Google P&D. Building at the intersection of AI and the creative professional. Ex-YouTube, Ex-WME. Early bird & cheering for LA sports.
TLDR: I’m changing jobs & teams. I’m so grateful and excited. Story time...
After 8 transformative years at YouTube, I’m taking a new role at Google in P&D Strategic Content Partnerships, building at the intersection of AI & the ‘creative professional’.
I picked up a video camera when I was 10 years old and started filming my friends skateboarding. Since then, I have been infatuated with how technology impacts how we create content and tell stories, and I have spent my entire career chasing ways to support content creators and storytellers. First at WME, and then at YouTube.
Leaving YouTube was such a hard decision. Why? The people and the product.
Thank you to my teammates, mentors and colleagues. You inspire me and make coming into work fun every day. To all the talented creators that I supported over the years: it’s been a privilege, and thank you for trusting me as your business partner. I’m excited to now just be a fan, and occasionally jump into your live chats. YouTube (especially YouTube Live) has grown and evolved so much during my time on the platform, and I am so proud to have played a very small part in shaping it. I'm very bullish on YouTube's future. I will never stop watching YouTube. I will never stop rooting for you.
Last year, while still at YouTube, I helped launch the AI Futures Fund in Google Labs. It was a crash course in AI and an invaluable opportunity to learn from so many brilliant AI founders and Googlers. Following that experience, I was bitten by the AI bug with deep conviction that AI is a "right now" opportunity.
Anyone who knows me knows that I like to be at the forefront to help build and shape the future. AI will have a profound impact on how we create content and tell stories. I am so excited for the opportunity to help shape it with content creators and storytellers.
Starting Monday, it's on to my next chapter! Also, here is me @ 10yrs old, filming my skate film titled ‘Confidential’ which has NOT yet been published online. Maybe I should publish it on YouTube <3
It feels like not enough creators are talking about the 'Ask Studio' feature. It helps you understand your YT channel data & performance just by asking simple questions.
Try it out... Is it actually helpful?
