Mark Allen is a great man and a patriot. He knew that putting his hat in the political arena would result in lots of arrows and dirty attacks, and he didn't care because he loves his community, he hates what is being done to it and he was always going to fight regardless of the personal cost.
I'm proud to say that his fight lives on. I didn't know Mark before this process, but the man I got to meet has unmatched character, passion for his community and the results of his tireless advocacy over the years has had results that every other candidate (and even the incumbent) could never hope to match.
I will continue the fight for him and his supporters and the community we both love. I hope to make him proud win this seat as it will be as much his as is mine. Mark is the definition of the heroes that you hear about but often never read about because it's never about public recognition, but what is right and wrong. And his legacy and fight goes on.
Hats off to a true American hero. Thank you, Mark Allen.
@lukejsearle@disagreebutter When you have a track record of actually approving high density housing and making your seniors pay for it with CRAs, all you have is some imaginary track of advocating for high density housing in a city I'm not in leadership in. We should've had a proper debate, sad we didn't.
@Jensen_Utah@disagreebutter@lukejsearle He actually campaigned for Cox against Lyman. Voted for him as a delegate. Utah needs less Cox, and more to fight his agenda that has nearly destroyed Utah.
@disagreebutter@lukejsearle Bro has been cruel to seniors. He approved the Taj Mahal of a new admin building that will cost every senior household around $200/year for the next 25.
People always say they want to end the developer lobbyist grip on the legislature. In this race for HD59, you have your shot to begin doing so. It's why I entered this race to begin with.

Personal opinion is that he's already had his life turned over by the allegations, and you proved your case to defend against future litigants (and also that reporting was good). I can see arguments either way, and why this is a tough call but if it were me I'd not want to punish him further if money is not the objective.
My opponent is literally proud to accept the endorsement of out of county special interest groups. Why is a Midvale PAC funded by a tech mogul so interested in who represents Wasatch County and Park City in the State House?
If I'm elected, the people of the Wasatch Back will not have to share its representation with the All In For Utah PAC nor any other special interest group.
Utah, a red state, has been doing this for the better part of the best decade. The state usurping local zoning and planning is a big problem, and one of the reasons why I'm running.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker is taking a page from other blue states to combat a housing shortage, proposing that Illinois take some control away from local authorities https://t.co/IJYVCTaFcr
@SophieAnde49073 What a weird unforced error. Maybe he isn't actually planning on running after all. For a guy whose been in politics as a career, this was certainly an odd post.
@SophieAnde49073 Why does every prominent Utah politician have such deep ties to special interests that work against the people of Utah. Things need to start changing, and fast.
Congressional District 3 families should be asked if they want to pay $1,500 towards the longest gondola in the world for a billionaire. Not told to give $1,500 per family to a billionaire.
Utahns don't want to pay for the gondola. The Locals are strongly against the gondola and so am I.
These types of issues and billion dollar spending must be by ballot and vote, not dark back room deals.
