@ryanbooth So true! Saving Private Ryan, War of the Worlds, and Munich are an interesting trilogy, of sorts. The camera work in these films are firing on all cylinders. It’s even crazier when you consider he didn’t storyboard those battle scenes in SPR. Created them right there on the spot.
@ryanbooth Days of Heaven. I first saw it in 1994 as I was developing my love of live action cinema. After that.. every little movie I made was shot at dusk. It completely opened my eyes to using natural light with purpose.
