Design is not decoration.
It’s a business decision that happens to be visible.
A logo isn’t just a graphic, it’s stored trust. Change it carelessly and you’re not updating a look, you’re spending equity you didn’t realize you had.
Your startup doesn’t look small because you’re new.
It looks small because nobody can tell why they should trust you.
Founders blame budget. It’s rarely budget, it’s clarity and consistency. Watch till the end for one fix you can make this week without touching your logo. 👀
“We need better branding.”
It’s the sentence we hear most from founders. It’s also usually the wrong diagnosis.
Branding, positioning, and marketing get blamed for each other’s mistakes constantly, but they’re three different problems with three different fixes.
We don’t open a design file until we can answer five questions about your business.
Not “what colors do you like.” Not “any brand inspo?” Five real questions about who we’re actually designing for.
Swipe through — this is week one of every JEKO project. 📌
@yakubwudil This is not a very good Idea
Same thing that Quibi thought in 2020 regarding going into the market space of Netflix and co and today we can’t hear of them again
We break down business decisions like this @Jeko_DS
In 2010, Gap changed its logo.
6 days later, they changed it back.
The redesign wasn’t the problem. They swapped a 20-year-old symbol of trust for something new, without considering what people were actually attached to.
A thread on what “brand equity” really means 🧵
Your brand doesn’t need to be loved. It needs to be understood first.
Most businesses chase emotional connection before they’ve earned basic clarity — “we want people to love us” before anyone actually understands what they sell. Love comes after understanding, not instead of it
“We need better branding.”
It’s the sentence we hear most from founders. It’s also usually the wrong diagnosis.
Branding, positioning, and marketing get blamed for each other’s mistakes constantly, but they’re three different problems with three different fixes.
Most businesses don’t need “just a designer.”
They need a creative partner who understands the bigger picture.
That’s what we’re building at JEKO DESIGN STUDIO.
Branding. UI/UX. Websites. Content. Motion. Creative strategy.
One creative house. Multiple capabilities.
What if paying with crypto felt as simple as paying with Apple Pay?
That was the question behind JEKO Pay — a conceptual Web3 payment experience designed around simplicity, transparency, and trust.
Here’s how I approached it 🧵
“Do you have a video editor that can do ############?”
That message came from a past client.
And honestly, I smiled.
Not just because we could take on the job, but because it reminded me of something I’ve been intentional about building with JEKO DESIGN STUDIO.
We’re not trying to be just another design agency.
We’re building a creative house for businesses.
A place where a company can come with a problem and find the creative capability to solve it, from brand identity and UI/UX, to graphics, motion, video and everything in between.
So yes, we have a solid video editor on board.
And yes, we’re continuously bringing in people who are exceptionally good at what they do.
Because the goal is bigger than delivering individual designs.
We want businesses to know that when they work with JEKO, they have a creative team behind them.
A team that understands that good creativity isn’t just about looking good.
It should help businesses communicate better, sell better, grow faster and be remembered.
This is the standard I’m building.
And we’re only getting started.
JEKO is becoming the creative house businesses can call home.
Follow @Jeko_DS there’s a lot more coming.
A studio is only as strong as the people building it.
Today, we introduced the minds behind JEKO DESIGN STUDIO, and this is just the beginning.
Different strengths. Different perspectives. One vision.
We’re not just building a design studio. We’re building a team capable of turning ideas into work that moves people.
The next chapter starts now. 🚀
