This paper describes AvantCap - a chemical modification of messenger RNA 5' end that confers superior translational properties to mRNA. The design of AvantCap was inspired by a naturally occuring modification of mRNA cap - so called m6Am mark. @JoannaK_UW, @JemielityLab, @JeffMugridge from @UniWarszawski and @UDelaware found that mRNAs carrying AvantCap produce more protein in vivo than reference mRNAs, while mRNAs encoding tumor antigens show superior activity in therapeutic settings as anticancer vaccines. Therefore, AvantCap has tremendous potential to advance the therapeutic mRNA field.
