Dream it,
Live it,
It is possible!
Growing up, Angie, our youngest sister, had always loved mathematics, but becoming the World's Most Interesting Mathematician is indeed the icing of the cake.
The study of mathematics sets the base for most professional careers.
This evening, I had an inspiring conversation with the vivacious @angela_tabiri, a young mathematician from Ghana who has just won the prestigious title of the World’s Most Interesting Mathematician, seeing off competition from 15 other mathematicians from across the world (including lecturers, researchers, writers, and business owners)
It was a delight listening to her as she explained how with a strong mindset of possibilities and achievement, she persevered through the many challenges of shining in the traditionally male-dominated Maths environment, rising each time to the occasion and confounding naysayers.
This time, she has been recognised for her groundbreaking work in the field of mathematics and her innovative approach to solving complex mathematical problems.
Congratulations, Angela! You are a shining example of what can be achieved if one sets his/her mind to it and perseveres. Indeed, it is Possible
