Still can’t believe that George Floyd was murdered by a white police officer and the response was to give us Juneteenth as a federal holiday instead of you know…stop killing us
I am angry. I am disgusted. I am outraged. You should be too after watching #ExposingParchman on @AETV The question is... what will we do about it? This and every other prison.
Slavery.
Black codes.
Jim Crow.
Redlining.
Mass incarceration.
Every step of the way, Black Americans have been intentionally pushed back economically. A debt is owed.
It’s time to pay that debt. It’s time for reparations.
As Trials decreased, Mass Incarceration increased. Fewer Trials = fewer ways to check police, prosecutorial, and judicial Abuse of Power. More Trials = more Freedom. Stop the #TrialPenalty
Nice work @johnson_carrie@martin_sabelli@miriamkrinsky
White men mass murder people and receive empathy because of ‘mental illness.’
Black men with documented histories of mental illness get murdered, and the same white folks who empathize with murderers who look like them, justify their killings.
White America is racist and sick.
the news is really like, “a Black man was yelling and a fellow citizen killed him. did he deserve to die? perhaps. what do you think?”
and this is why we yell Black lives matter cuz what the fuck are y’all even talking about right now
TW: Lynching
The lynching of Jordan Neely is what happens when you blame every violent thing that happens in this country on mental illness because while it excuses violent behavior from white people, it criminalizes mental illness in Black people.
The man who choked him
⚠️(Police Brutality)
I'm sorry Ms. Jackson...
That is all she got from Jacksonville Florida sheriff's officers. They came knocking on her door late last Thursday asking if she was a Ms Cooper, even though she said no they burst into her kitchen anyway.
Jordan Neely was lynched.
He had no food, no water, no safe place to rest. He had the audacity to publicly yell about that massive injustice, so they killed him.

Lashawn Thompson (below) died after being devoured by insects and brutalized for 3 months in a filthy cell in the Atlanta jail. He never was convicted of a crime and had been charged with a misdemeanor.

@Rossputin @Strange613 @exavierpope Providing a safe space when those spaces are not easily identifiable in a world where your safety is the default is NOT pandering. Your assumption that it is…well…there is the bigotry. If you don’t like the label, stop defending the sentiment.
