@ainsliemckendry Aw thanks hun. This lockdown and shielding business is sh*t. Its bloody miserable and I didn't realise how much I need to be around people. Xx
When everything seems to be going good and we have another set back. Trying to stay positive in this sh*t storm that is cancer. It can't just go away quietly can it. #cancerSucks
I passed. Not the grade I hoped for but under the circumstances I'll take it. Useful feedback noted for future essays and going to use for reflection evidence.
Trying to stay positive. All 1st year assessments submitted. Just a formative with my tutor and Term 1 is done. 👍 Chemo on track for Thursday. So Feb up on being isolated.
When you have a bad reaction to the chemo prescribed. 🙈😭 It's been a long day in this chair. Why isn't my body cooperating?! #chemo#cervicalcancer#chemoreaction
@OliveAndLou Thanks that helps alot. It was definitely during this time talking to staff and patients that made me want to be a nurse. I'll have to think hard to pigeon one moment that 'clicked' as my decision was a collective and not one I took lightly.
Reflection: feeling good today. Positive I will get remission from after this chemo is done.
I actually understood what the lecturer is talking about today and can see how it relates to all other classes and how it can be applied to practice. Plus my appetite is back, #bonus.
@OliveAndLou I've been out of the loop since beginning of lockdown. Only thing I can think of is I worked as a domestic for 18 months which led to my application to uws. Would that work?
