Together with @TackleHIV, it was a pleasure to welcome @gareththomas14 to Manchester Royal Infirmary yesterday.
🩸 MRI is one of the first hospitals to implement opt-out HIV blood testing.
We want to thank Gareth for all of his work and education in reducing the stigma of HIV.
Today, @gareththomas14 and @RichardAngell, @THTorguk CEO, visited Manchester Royal Infirmary @MFTnhs@MRI_ED, one of the first hospitals to implement the opt out testing scheme 👏
This scheme means all A&E blood tests are tested for HIV, helping identify new cases 🙌

"I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend."
32 years today, we lost the legend that was #FreddieMercury to an #HIV-related illness.
He not only left us a musical legacy but also the huge impact he had, and continues to have, on #HIV awareness and ending stigma.
Thank you @GarryBrough for keep explaining that people living with #HIV on effective treatment and virally suppressed can't pass it on. #UequalsU
We had the pleasure to work with Garry on the #HIVConfident charter
