Today I had my last #RTPI Young Planner Conference. I joined #SYPN in 2019 and since then have really enjoyed contributing to the annual conference. I will surely miss this event in the coming years. Super proud of what @jlrh90 and the rest of the team delivered today. ❤️
One of the main objectives of the #SYPC24 was inspiring #youngplanners to consider various roles within this sector. The panel session presented a diverse overviews of where you could end up. Great to hear about personal experiences, challenges and rewards.
Thanks to all at SYPN and RTPI Scotland for organising a really informative and thought provoking event. It was a real pleasure to present to so many positive and enthusiastic young planners. The future’s bright…
I had the pleasure of chairing the last session of the day at #SYPC24 on “Measuring Performance & Skills” by @CraigMMcLaren who has a very inspiring planning background. Follow his work in @improvserv to see what he is doing as the first National Planning Improvement Champion.
I’m here in Glasgow this morning reminiscing about being a “young” planner, and delighted to be taking part in the “where do planners end up” session as part of #SYPC24 @RTPIScotland today. A fab conference programme for the day focussing on Future Planners.
Great to hear our Minister @JoeFitzSNP speaking this morning at the #SYPC24 @RTPIScotland acknowledging the important role young planners will play in our journey to net zero.
Great to hear Planning Minister @JoeFitzSNP speak so positively and passionately about planning and planners at today’s Scottish Young Planners’ Conference in Glasgow #SYPC24
Delighted that @ThePlanner_RTPI has asked me to write a regular column for their website. In ‘Planning Positive’ I share thoughts from a Scottish policy & practice perspective on what has or hasn’t worked. Hopefully you will find it interesting! https://t.co/0KwZTwb6Sn
