First VP @PSC_CUNY; on loan from teaching gender studies/politics @HunterCollege. Studies segregation & bathrooms & public commitments. Views my own self.
As Chair of @TFNA_NYSA, it's concerning to me in the future that instead of universities deciding what students best interest for their program, immigration officers and DHS will.

Thank you @CatalinaCruzNY for defending the jobs of our colleagues @QC_News and for demanding more state funding for @CUNY. @ChancellorCUNY & William Thompson must stop the cuts and the layoffs!
Democratic Assembly nominees @Samantha4Queens@SiffertForNY@david4queens@Brianr4NY joined today's Rally to Save Queens College Jobs. Thanks to you all for defending the jobs of @QC_News workers and demanding a well-funded high quality @CUNY education for the students of Queens
CUNY @MurphyInstitute Prof Chris Maisano did a great job on @BrianLehrer explaining why @nycDSA's Grace Mauser is correct re what constitutes the working class. Let's go to another CUNY professor, the dearly missed Marshall Berman:
“PSC members and the CUNY students we serve need access to housing they can afford. [W]e’re thrilled to see COGE propose a ballot measure that would simplify and accelerate the building of more affordable housing for working class NYers" (1/2)

"PSC thanks COGE Chairman @patrickgaspard, PSC member and COGE Secretary @DrSusanLK, and the rest of the commission for their efficient work"
-Jen Gaboury (@jengaboury), First Vice President, of Professional Staff Congress/CUNY AFT Local 2334.
Inna Vernikov had her name pulled from The New York Young Republican Club website months ago, but her legislative director is still a member of the club and serves on its leadership team, according to its website.
The club is still advertising a “high tea” this weekend with Vickie Paladino - she told City & State she hasn’t decided whether she will still attend on Saturday. https://t.co/toHsui97Sh
The version of the RAISE Act that the NY Legislature passed would have required disclosure of this "incident."
After lobbying from OpenAI, Bloomberg, and a16z, the final version the Governor signed allows companies to hide events like this.
I'm glad OpenAI chose to disclose this crime. The law shouldn't give them a choice.
Obstructions in the bus lane! The app says it's 1 min away for > 10 mins. We can see it and some folks understandably gave up. An elder has to pay for a cab. #NYC: lets do this: fast asap & free soon. Thank you for making this a priority @NYCMayor#Makebusesfastandfree
“The people who lost their health care–that money is going into the pockets of the rich…We must tell @GovKathyHochul again – as we did last year – she must go and get the money that belongs to the people of New York back. Tax the rich! ” said Gaboury.
PSC First VP @JenGaboury joined @NYSenatorRivera, PSC members & a coalition of unions & progressive groups at Montefiore Hospital today to demand that Governor @KathyHochul defend NYers from Trump’s Medicaid cuts, #taxtherich, & fund the healthcare & services that NYers need.
Hey @nytimes, who’s Patrick Jenkins? Isn’t he a lobbyist for the political establishment? Is he a Black leader in our community? Why didn’t anyone reach out to me? I have a few things to say about DSA and the Black agenda and all of those things. Ive spent my life living and fighting for Black liberation and justice. As well as liberation for all people. Come on NYT, do better!
Also buried in this piece is the fact that @claireforny won the Latino vote in her district, and the article fails to mention that @DarializaforNY won Black voters in her district.
Completely missing from this article: 55% of Black New Yorkers approve of @NYCMayor@ZohranKMamdani job’s performance (Marist) and 67% of Latino New Yorkers had a favorable view of Mayor Mamdani (Siena).
Unfortunately, some political leaders within the Democratic Party would rather make excuses for why they lost voters instead of figuring out how to win them back.
Would it kill @JeffCMays to mention that a @nycDSA member has represented Medgar Evers for the last 6 years? And that she happens to be a black CUNY grad and a lifelong Crown Heights resident? These takes are getting stale very quickly.
Efficient governance is essential as we fight to deliver high-quality public goods, including an excellent CUNY system. We look forward to continued engagement with the commission as we work together to build a city that delivers for working people.
We are proud of the work of @DrSusanLK, a member of the PSC Executive Council and the Secretary of @NYCMayor's Commission on Government Efficiency, which released its preliminary report today.
I’m endorsing @AlexBores for Congress because artificial intelligence could change everything and we need a leader in Congress who understands it and has a plan to regulate it. AI oligarchs are spending $10 million to defeat his campaign. We don’t agree on everything, but I know what side of that fight I’m on.
