@jkirk___ @senoraCMT Utah is currently trying to pass similar laws. I just emailed 15 Utah Representatives with clear and concise reasons why these types of legislation are a bad idea. Their responses are encouraging. Here’s hoping they will stay true to their word. 🤞🏻
@youarejball Beautifully said! Thank you for standing up for true and actual tolerance and love, if only the rest of the world understood things as you do, we would be in such a better place. I agree with everything you said.
@SraWilliams3 Because you in your righteous indignation never did anything 15 years ago that you regret today. Cancel Culture is an evil thing and we should all do everything we can to avoid participating in it. Love, kindness and forgiveness is the only true path.
Thank you @craignewmark for your donation to my students through Donors Choose! We are super grateful, and my school district is doubling any donations right now, so your gift will go twice as far! Thank you so much. We are very grateful. #RespectForTeachers
@AliceTinker1943 I’m so sorry. The unexpected losses that come out of nowhere are the hardest to take. I hope you are able to find comfort and solace in such a trying time. You are not alone.
@ajattanasio1 @flyingmonkey13 Anthony, when we went online in the spring I worked 14-16 hour days putting up online curriculum and correcting every student’s work one by one. As did most of my colleagues. Where did you get the idea that teachers aren’t working when classes are online?
@AmbassadorRice And yet this is what our country is all about - government by the people and for the people. If we don’t like something badly enough we are allowed to do something about it. Let them gather. Let them have their say. Hopefully they are being safe while they send a clear message.
I took my students on a field trip to the local university to attend a language class. Near the end, the professor began to explain something in English. Suddenly one of my boys called out “¡No inglés!” The professor was shocked to hear the kids wanted only Spanish. So proud! 🙌
@FilipescuAlina Thanks for the clarification. I do rejoinders and they seem to be going well, but the kids always use the same ones. I’m thinking of trying your idea to see if it helps them branch out.
