@shycollie@luvmesomeOES@JimMart68737540 If we’re being honest, not all NP’s are intelligent enough to practice on their own. The ones that are, cannot. In the same light - not all MD’s are intelligent enough to practice on their own. They still get to practice. Few med students have 20 years of medical experience, I do
@Mohamme90939901@maosbot Oh my! Previous Covid nurse and now NP. You know me - hi! I have long Covid. So now you can say you know one person. On the internet - but you still know one person. Trust me….this long Covid / Dysautonomia sucks and takes your ability to live life away from you.
@Blitz_y @MrsPA_C Wish this didn’t have to be a thought - but my little is on 6 weeks of antibiotics right now for an astronomically high strep Ab. Praying it comes down.
@AngryAmygdala The comment that is sticking with me as an NP is “cardiac clearance”. They want you to get cardiac clearance for Vyvanse? Any hospitalizations or chest pain? Irregular EKG at PCP? Seems off to me. I would call the board.
@MKIttlesonMD These errors often lead to patients taking double of the same medication at home. I see this often with metoprolol succinate and tartrate. The patients have been prescribed both from different providers. No one know why they are orthostatic but I am looking at 3 bottles of LOLs
@MKIttlesonMD Medicine should be collaborative. Those who demand respect to sit atop the hierarchy (pyramid if you will) will never get respect from the people who form the base of care for patients. Quicksand! Earn respect and the masses will bond together hold you up and elevate you. Glue.
@MKIttlesonMD As a previous acute care nurse and now NP, it is likely someone relayed that they “Consulted Michelle to come and see the patient.” So yes, if someone told me they “Consulted Michelle” and you appeared that is exactly what I would have said. The problem with medicine is heirarchy
@ampullaofv8r Why would you not want to send published work to a medical student? Unfortunately, we don’t have access to everything through our extensive libraries (I was an NP student not an MD student).
