Opossums live short, difficult lives, yet they spend their nights doing work many people never see.
Most only live about one to two years in the wild. They move through backyards, forests, roadsides, and neighborhoods after dark, searching for food while avoiding cars, dogs, predators, and harsh weather. Their lives are brief, but their role in nature is meaningful.
Opossums help clean the world around you. They eat pests, insects, carrion, and sometimes even venomous snakes. They also help reduce ticks, which can carry disease. In their quiet way, they support the balance of the places they pass through.
Still, many people fear them because of how they look or because they appear at night. But opossums are usually shy, gentle animals. When scared, they often freeze, hiss, drool, or play dead because they want to survive, not attack.
Kindness can be simple. Give them space. Do not harm them. Slow down when you see one near the road. Let them keep doing the work nature gave them.
Opossums may not live long, but they leave the world cleaner than they found it.
Huge shakeup in LA! Reality TV star Spencer Pratt just advanced to the mayoral runoff after disaster Mayor Karen Bass crashed and burned with barely a THIRD of the vote.
That's what happens when your city turns into a homeless hellscape, crime explodes, and taxpayers foot the bill for progressive incompetence. Bass had her shot, and Los Angeles said "no thanks."
An outsider like Pratt forcing a runoff? The establishment is sweating.
If Bass wins its VOTER FRAUD.
If Bass Loses its because they didn’t cheat enough, VOTER FRAUD.
The left CANNOT WIN UNLESS THEY CHEAT.
The party of Cheaters, liars, deviants and CRIMINALS. 👺
💔 Taz is scared, and you can see it in his eyes.
Found roaming the streets alone, this sweet 2-year-old now spends his days trembling in a shelter kennel, unsure of what comes next. He doesn't bark for attention or beg to be noticed. He simply sits quietly, hoping someone will give him a chance.
🥺 When his kennel door opened, Taz didn't try to run. He just sat there shaking, trying to understand why he was there.
Taz needs a foster or adopter before shelter stress takes a bigger toll on him. Fostering is FREE, and all supplies are provided.

BREAKING: Scientists claimed it was "morally" justifiable to infect people with a virus that would make them allergic to meat in a controversial paper published in 2025.
It felt good to be off social media yesterday. Things are in the works, that's all I can say for now. Negotiations are ongoing with the DA. My attorney choked me up yesterday when he sent me an email that was just one line: "Let's get Lucy home."
Amen. Amen, amen, amen.
I spent the day with the kids at the park while @Herb_Minstrel gave voice lessons at home, going over with pen and paper what I had feverishly typed up thus far about Lucy, the makings of what I hope will be a story with some appeal beyond just myself and my little family.
Things just jump out at me on paper in a way they don't on a screen.
I'm writing this as a way to protect her, in my own way, from anything like this ever happening again. She's kind of famous right now, but it's the 15-minutes-of-fame sort of notoriety.
I want to lock that in. I want to make Lucy untouchable. I fell into a trap once that has made her vulnerable. I'm doing everything I can right now to make her invincible for the rest of her life.
If I fail to convey Lucy's story in a way that has broad appeal, then at least I hope to have a personal story to add to our family lore, where it will be valued by the people who know and matter most, the same way I treasure all of the songs my wife wrote me to get me through the terror and tedium overseas.
This will probably be another quiet day from me as I scribble lines on paper, cross them out, work them and rework them over and over - and do it all in those quiet moments when the kids aren't fighting with each other or getting into trouble or making messes and getting loud.
Thank you all for your support of me and Lucy for these past several weeks. It means the world.

I’ve never seen a quiet rescue like this. Dogs usually bark out of stress. This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life. Wishing you all peace ❤️✨
All Patriots-Anons:
You are the Lighthouses In The Storm…
Pause for a moment; for the past 8-9 years you have stood unwavering in a storm that most people out there can’t even begin to imagine.
You saw the invisible, analyzed the
unspeakable and maintained faith in a free world where there seemed to be nothing but darkness all around.
You risked your reputation, lost connection with friends, family because you spoke truths too grand or too uncomfortable for others to bear. You endured ridicule, dismissed as conspiracy theorists, and watched day after day, your voices get censored and deleted across major platforms. And yet you did not falter. You never took off your armor. You Never Quit. Your courage and steadfastness stand as a testament to the unyielding power of the Holy Spirit.
Understand how vitally important your role is.
You are Not spectators; You Are The Bridge.
The military and alliance can dismantle the old structure behind the scenes, but they cannot force the awakening of the souls.
That was your mission; You prepared the soil.
When the curtain falls, truth rolls out like a tidal wave, 🌊 the world will desperately need guidance. People will freeze in shock 😳 disbelief 🫢.
You will step in, be the calm, the Guardians of Truth; reaching out and saying “Do not be afraid; You are safe now.”
At the end of the road, the greatest gift awaits us all: A HEALED EARTH🌍.
You are loved, deeply appreciated.
You are the architects of The Great Awakening.
Let’s Finish This Together-UNITED🐸
A five year friendship wasn’t going to end in a barn fire.
Firefighters were called after a neighbor saw smoke rising from a farm while the owner wasn’t home.
The fire had started inside the barn after a power outlet sparked near the hay, spreading fast before anyone could get close. Most of the chickens and farm animals had already scattered toward the edge of the field, but one animal was still trapped inside.
The farm dog. Nobody knew how to reach him in time.
But before the flames could climb any higher, the family’s horse ran toward the barn, slammed into the door, and kicked until it broke open. Seconds later, the dog came running out, with the horse right behind him.
When firefighters finally got the fire under control, everyone was confused about how the dog had escaped, especially since he usually slept inside the barn away from the other animals.
Their CCTV footage had caught everything, and as they rewatched it on the camera, people kept playing the same moment again and again.
The camera showed the horse breaking down the door to save the dog he had known since he was a puppy.
The clip quickly went viral, not because of the fire, but because people realized what they were really watching.
A horse didn’t just run from danger. He ran into it for his best friend.
