Thank you @AmericanAir for allowing us to sleep 1 hour 45 min. before having to return to Ohare to try and get our luggage. Fingers crossed we can get it before you send it to San Francisco without us.
Did I mention @AmericanAir that we have to pay to go to the airport and back to the hotel to pick up my bag that you assured me I would have at the end of my flight? We have nothing better to do with our time anyway.
You @AmericanAir give me a $12 voucher to get something to eat. Isn’t that nice? Then I realize that everything is closed and the voucher expires before you can get me on a flight. I hope the paper tastes good.
Shame on @AmericanAir. You need to treat customers better. Our flight was cancelled due to your mechanical issues and you can’t get our luggage until six am. Your staff made me check my carry-on where I intentionally put my medication and clothing. I did everything right.
@AmericanAir This message? It has been received. Who in the company is putting is up tonight? I hope it is somewhere nice because I have a stress headache.
@AmericanAir This trip just keeps getting better. Now we are stuck on the runway unable to get to our gate because another plane is parked there. Calgon, take me away! Away from American Airlines.
@AmericanAir Unable to DM you. Because of your delays and lengthy maintenance issue, our 2nd flight was cancelled. You rescheduled us on another flight that gets us to San Francisco 24 + hours later. Where are you putting us up tonight? How to get reimbursed for lost expenses? Some vacation.
@AmericanAir So much for a good start to our trip to San Francisco. Boarding time kept changing due flight control issues in Chicago. We have now been sitting on the plane for 47 minutes waiting for a mechanic. What do you do if we miss connecting flight? So disappointed.
We hope the good people of #SanFrancisco will forgive us for adapting a song about their city in 1967 to address the shocking and tragic events in #Minnesota in recent weeks. This is dedicated to Renée Good and Alex Pretti, and in solidarity. Our version is called "Minnesota" ❤️
FREEDOM RINGS: 104-year-old World War II veteran Dominick Critelli, who fought at Normandy and in the Battle of the Bulge, wowed the crowd by performing the National Anthem on his saxophone at a New York Islanders game.
Critelli, a staff sergeant who immigrated to the U.S. from Italy when he was a child, spent 151 days in combat during World War II, earning three Bronze Stars.
The Speed of Talk: Hattie stated that, in primary schools, kids talk about about 124 words per minute. Secondary students talk at a rate of approximately 140 words per minute. Teachers, however, across all grade levels, are incredibly fast talkers who speak at 174 words per minute, which is too fast for many students to comprehend. And teachers also tend to speak at 1.5 to two grades above the grade level they are teaching. (Hattie)
It was wonderful meeting you this afternoon, @zakchamp. Thank you for taking time to chat with me. I look forward to talking with you again in the near future.
