Many of the things that were adaptations for students when I started my career are now universal supports.

Many of the standards I used to teach and the mandated assessments that were given are now gone.

Every shift to teaching demands a shift in how we teach.

One without the other isn’t innovation. It’s stagnation.

@TeamMrsTyler had an idea to use @trev_mackenzie types of inquiry with her Kinder students. We discussed and asked students a lot of questions. They naturally transferred it to their learning space. Students made connections during the day. ❤️

We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests until the PISA in HS & they outperform us every time. When we can’t give students more recess, play, or Arts, but make them sit longer hours, we have it wrong!
