0.05% is way too high. This article about complications from the CDC isn't even necessarily talking deaths and it's more like a 0.0007% of a complication that may be fatal.

If the student has any hesitance hopefully the coach is willing to break things down- but yes is probably the simple answer. Pretty fundamental building block.

(Just my opinion as a trainee of about a year, surveyed a number of schools, this doesn't sound bad to me)
