A white male soldier was thrown into a psychiatric ward for protesting and y’all think you have the power to determine what rights someone with a disability should have?
I’m having a mental health crisis now. 70+ Palestinians risked their lives for a bag of flour, to save their starving children, and were killed. How is everyone not breaking down at the thought? How does literally no one care? I’m going mad at the thought. Empathy is dead.
You can’t fight fascism without disability justice. Fascism creates more disability, which then sees us as replaceable and our deaths as excusable. You can’t fight for humanity without fighting for disabled people.
Democrats are very likely to sidestep the real conversation about fascist violence after this political assassination and instead do another round of “see we actually love the police more than republicans”
20+ years ago, I marched against the Iraq war. Was assaulted by OPS and can’t get into the US without a ‘random’ enhanced search any more, but worth it. Now I’m older, and use a walker, and it might take me longer now, but I’ll march again. Can’t believe we have to do this again.
Only the nuclear-armed apartheid state that’s been committing a live-streamed holocaust for the past 20 months & potentially ignited WWIII by bombing residential areas of Iran has the “right to defend itself”. Carney deepens his complicity in Zionist barbarism & shames us all.
@Olas_Truth I was institutionalize as a teen. I convinced my parents to have me released for a weekend. Ran away and didn’t talk to them for years. Would not wish institutionalization on my worst enemy. 30 years later, still traumatized.
Nobody who's saying "Haha you idiots should have voted for Kamala to protect the Palestinians" has ever supported the Palestinians. These are all the same people who spent last year telling everyone to shut up about Gaza and stop opposing an active genocide. They can get fucked.
Keep this an election item.
Make them outdo one another in policies aimed at ending legislated poverty.
ODSP rates are abysmal AND the system is near carceral.
I see a lot of White folks referring to Trump's plan to colonize Palestine as some sort of gotcha moment. They think we as Palestinians are gonna regret opposing Harris for slaughtering 100,000s of our kin. They're only displaying their depravity and hypocrisy.
What Trump said he wants to do fits the dictionary definition of ethnic cleansing. There is no need for media to hedge and call it “relocation”, “resettlement”, “transfer” or anything else. Journalism is supposed to be about accuracy.
When you're at the grocery store checking for "Product of Canada" labels, remember that most of our domestic fruits and vegetables are grown and harvested by migrant farmworkers from Mexico, Jamaica, and the Eastern Caribbean.
Produced in Canada under a system of laws that benefits the multibillion-dollar agriculture industry at the expense of the migrant workers who sustain it.
Produced in Canada by migrant workers who pay into EI but are denied access to regular EI benefits.
Produced in Canada by migrant workers who, in Ontario, are denied the right to join a union.
Produced in Canada by migrant workers who are regarded by the state as good enough to work, but never good enough to stay – no matter how many years of service they put in.
Canada's history of systemic racism and exploitation in agriculture exposes the falsehood of the claim that "we are all in this together." Class consciousness demands more than exercises of purchasing power in difficult times. It demands solidarity with workers in our collective struggle for economic justice and liberation.
@WaytowichNeil Booing the US anthem at sports games is fine, but if we really want to protest and get under M@GA skin, we’d take the knee during the anthem, instead. I hear they’re not too fond of that down there. 🤷♀️
