@TweetsbyCoachP I have actually had a boy and girl go through this process. The impact is real. Starting in 7th grade, students are evaluated and placed into levels. Over time, many begin to tie their value to where someone else says they belong. This is carrying into adulthood.
@dannykanell I was at a 6yr old game a week ago and one of the teams had a loudspeaker with recorded announcement of each players’s name and their walk up song… They played it every time they were up to bat👀

Extreme permissiveness to the student in class disrupting everyone else’s learning in a daily basis isn’t compassion toward that student; it is cruelty to the rest of the class.
The most harmful delusion operative in today’s schools is that you can reach every student if you’re just nice enough to them.
Some students can’t, and don’t want to, be reached. The best thing we could do is get them out of the class and make room for the rest to learn.
There’s a growing trend of “Doll Moms” where they literally pretend their baby dolls are real.
Here is a “Doll Mom” showing her typical morning routine.
Did You Know?
𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗺 has doubled from 15% pre-COVID to over 30% now. 𝗜𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 50%. 😳
This is the “silent crisis” that explains a huge chunk of the academic drop.
@RobMillerOK you have my vote for State superintendent. I have watched you in the trenches for years and I know you want the absolute best and balanced educational experience for all students! Keep grinding.
As the recently retired superintendent of Bixby Public Schools, I can attest that eliminating every administrative position in the district would not adequately fund Supt Walters' mandate, which could cost upwards of $5 million annually in Bixby alone.
@MrDanielBuck In Oklahoma education funds that pay for salaries have stipulations. This is the keep pay equitable between all districts. So if a district did what you are suggesting the state would then cut the funding they are sending by the amount the district has put toward salaries.
@zdrelay Wow when will people to stop blaming teachers for everything. COVID didn’t just keep kids out of schools, it shut down communication, social skills, isolated. We are seeing that play out thru our kids. They are emotional, socially delayed and lack self control … that is society
“I am not running against Ryan Walters. I am running for the families and students of Oklahoma. Whoever else decides to get in the race, that’s fine," Miller said. #oklaed https://t.co/TFZLqQw4Dz
