So chuffed with this brilliant & valuable book. It’s the end result of some creative writing workshops held for adoptive mums. I collaborated with local therapy centre senSI as their Writer in Residence for my Masters at UoS. Now, to get a publisher…x
Dear @England and @GarethSouthgate - it might not be the result we wanted, but THANK YOU.
We know your incredible team spirit, work ethic, inclusivity and compassion will have inspired millions of children and that means everything.

We are very sad to report that, due to COVID-19, we have had to postpone the New Angle Prize for Literature 2021 until 2022. We will keep you posted with more information when we have it.
Meanwhile, why not read some of the long- or shortlisted books from @PrizeNewAngle 2019?
Just want to share an amazing moment with you all...getting my self-published book into Waterstones! The beautiful cover, designed by artist Martin Hall, & the expertise of local printers Dynamic Print have placed it alongside the professionally published offerings 🙏🏻
@DrElScott @GlenisKellet I love it. It’s somehow ‘warm’?! At first I thought you meant Aldeburgh, Suffolk and got excited that it related to our Black Shuck legends.
Thank God for The Range!! All these attempts for half-term ‘purpose’ were less than £30 and have, hopefully, just bought us another sprinkling of sanity 🙏🏻
@lamethyst44 I always felt embarrassed by the reference to fen people (I’m one) having webbed feet (I’ve not!) Thought it was derogatory but now, researching the area for my next book, I’ve realised I should feel proud. They lived in marsh, managing to live/work in the harshest of landscapes.
England's first #refugees were the #Huguenots who were broadly welcomed and supported. They, like the groups of refugees who came after them, impacted and enriched this nation in countless ways. Visit us Fridays & Saturdays to find out more! https://t.co/OC6JWepVv8
What is your quirky novel title?
The [current mood] + [object to your right] of [grandmother's first name] + [last thing you ate].
Mine is 'The Weary Wine Glass of Winifred Biryani'
Just discovered gem of a book, whilst visiting the delightful Halesworth Bookshop.
The author’s illustrated it beautifully & the content’s as pleasing to read as its presentation and the interesting history of the East Anglian coastline.
Self published...wow!
