@Mike_Pence @VP This administration took an oath of office to serve ALL Americans, regardless of party, regardless of if they have nice things to say about you. Americans are dying. Get your president together and tell him to get out of his feelings. He’s letting people die over his feelings.

@GovPritzker Illinois Library Association Made this statement based on your directives. https://t.co/DpRSxOJDkB

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@GovPritzker Please close libraries! CPL Branches are seeing 25-75 ppl. The health & safety of staff & patrons is important. Librarians are not social workers or babysitters. Let them be safe, as well, and keep their families safe, and yes, their patrons & communities by not helping spread.

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@chicagosmayor So much for loving libraries. Smh.

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@chicagosmayor Please stop encouraging people to gather at libraries. Help save more lives by closing libraries. Staff are tired of being ignored and their and their families’ health being put at unnecessary risk.

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@GovPritzker How are we closing bars/restaurants, but not libraries?!! Libraries are far more public and library staff deserve to protect themselves, their families, and the communities they serve. They also deserve compensation same as school districts. Close libraries! #ThisIsNotASnowDay

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@chicagosmayor @ChiPublicHealth @ChiPubSchools @ChicagoParks “For God’s sake” close the libraries!! Librarians are not default teachers, clinicians, or babysitters! Protect our library staff same as CPS. #ThisIsNotASnowDay

[Jennifer Steele @jenieloulou]

@JBPritzker Libraries need to close! The health of library staff and patrons is key in not increasing spread of COVID-19. Libraries can see the same number of people if not more than schools and they are far more public. #ThisIsNotASnowDay
