Let’s try a thing. I’m calling it #adventinspirations. Each day in the lead up to Christmas I’ll tweet using the hashtag above. All you need to do on each day is comment with one person on Edutwitter who inspires you.
Day 1
My #adventinspiration today is @chrisdysonHT
I've seen women in the same situation.
Rape isn't gender, sex or sexual orientation specific. Anyone has the ability to rape, just thankfully the majority of people don't.
Thanks for listening to my #tedtalk#rape#rapevictim#rapesurvivor#sexualassult
So I generally can't sleep at the moment due to multiple things going on and accusations being thrown around
Spent a large proportion of this week dealing with someone branding all men as rapists.
I have lost my shit a few times this week surrounding this.
Men aren't the old ones who can rape, women can, non-binary people can, trans people can, gender fluid people can.
My point being that it's not men who rape, it's people who rape.
I've seen men who have been raped refusing to do anything about because it'll make them look weak.
@konichiwakitty Just remember that they don't define your worth and if you weren't there then they wouldn't have POC. So it's their loss as they're now going to get less work from you. Definitely didn't happen with me.
@FUFowlers @whaleygeek @AccessCard I did that and they still wanted more information even though someone with the exact same condition, applying with the exact same medical proof got accepted with no queries or push back and I'm having to fight to prove my needs, surely that what the access card was to prevent?
I thought the @AccessCard was meant to reduce the amount of stress disabled people go through to get help. All I've had is wanting more and more paperwork and then rejection, whereas someone identical to me in needs gets accepted straight away with same paperwork. 😭
@AccessCard I was asked for more information as they didn't believe my needs. And a friend of mine submitted basically the same evidence and got all the symbols I had asked for. So how comes some people have to submit more evidence but others don't?
